So my oldest nephew is going off to college this month. [insert all types of falling out and carrying on and dropping to my knees praying he don't get locked up, mixed up with no party white girls, or expelled for plagiarism.]

So I ask him if he has all his stuff together and he's like, "No Weazy, I dont even know what I need!"
"Ok, you need bathroom stuff, shower shoes, sheets..."
"They don't got sheets there?"
So apparently the boy thinks his dorm is the Marr*iott. So I told him I'd email him a list of things he'll need to bring. Can yall help me out, please. Cuz I know a lot of yous have done the dorm thing fairly recently. Young asses.

i'm older than yo old ass, so i can't help you. i'll second the condoms though...also plenty of towels for those moments he don't want to sleep in the wet spot, cuz if he's in a dorm, he's on a twin sized bed which means he can't just roll to the other side. LOL
Wise, in this day and age, Targ*t, Bed Bath, and WalM*rt, have a section labeled dorm gear/supplies, sometimes, they even have a list. Check your nephew's school website to see if they have a list posted. I remember oh so long ago, they sent the list with the dorm assignment.
I don't care what school you going to...Harvard or Western Podunk State...
Yo ass need a fan and some bug spray...fo' sho. Otherwise the first list in the comments is pretty damn thorough.
Tell him to check into that fridge/microwave thing because alot of dorms won't allow them...

Nex...I did check out the website (and even called to make sure. omg what I'ma do when it's my own children. X...The fridge is about the only thing the boy did have. You do realize when you all say, "tell him to ask the people" you're speaking to me. I'll be doing the calling. He's THAT kid. (and more importantly, I'm THAT aunt-mom. I literally cried myself to sleep last night thinking about him going away. lol)

I just had this conversation this weekend. With them saying...when you buy a bed...it doesn't come with sheets...

Ok I never lived in a real dorm (I got the poshy athlete one), but sheets should been common sense. Come on cuz!!
LoL everything Eps said LoL. Okay and maybe a George Foreman if he can and stuff to do laundry cause never give a college kid an excuse not to wash their damn clothes. And I agree with Eps on the condoms. I walked into many a situation and many a conversation that dealt with hookups.
And make sure he either learns to use Amazon really effectively or get those books early enough so he can get used and not new, saves your ass a ton of dough.
