Couple of weeks actually.
School blows.
Finals, and shit.
But then I found my respite.

In the past couple of months my rotation has included Tribe, Gza, PE, The Roots, Lupe (the night before a 20-pager was due, no less)...
Live rotation, that is.
And last night, the night before 2 final papers were due...
I put on some sneakers I didnt mind getting scuffed (blue Chuckas).
A tank top I didnt mind getting sweaty and smoky...
Got my hand stamped...
Self-imposed a 2-drink minimum (thanks LA)...
And went bananas at the sound of the police...
And the best part..I FEEL SO REFRESHED!!
Got a few new stories to tell yall. Stay tuned...

Whoa don't tell me I missed a KRS show. That's what I hate about this town, alot of acts come here, but you don't always hear about it until a day or so later.

its amazing what a pair of chucks can do. i never go anywhere without mine. glad to hear that things are on the up and up. been a rough few weeks for me too. and oh how im not lookin forward to havin finals and things again ... oh well ill suck it up ...and as for music... hip hop... its amazing what it can do for a tired soul!

Amadeo...EXACTLY! I didnt find out until a few hours before, and it was totally on a whim. A classmate of mine was procrastinating, surfing, found it. Made me wonder who else comes thru without a peep!

As for Talib and EPMD...I think both were at Rams Head (I debated about going to EPMD but I deferred to an early mtg the next day) so I'd say get on their email list. Was hype about Com @ JHU...but then was out of town. And KRS I found out on a whim. But you're sooo right...there doesnt seem to be a central place to find out about shit. But I'll be sure to let you know if I happen across stuff. :)
PS...did you check Nas last month? I was skeptical cuz Ive seen him before...but I heard he was dope!

but I heard KRS1 did his thing wednesday...I've seen him there a couple of years back.
I was at the common show but left b4 he came up. the openers killed the mood. he killed it at Artscape last year.
Ab...Yes he did. It was DOPE. Good crowd (yo BMore got the gulliest white chicks EVER. AND they know EVERY lyric!) But he ended mad abruptly. I was literally the only person left on the floor thoroughly convinced he was coming back for an encore.lol
Timing is my big issue. I HATE getting there too early, but am always scared to miss the good stuff. Case in point The Roots (I cant believe I forgot to mention them!) Got there and had already missed Lupe and LB. :(
Was JUST talking to my brother about that Master Ace album where he was telling one long story. Thanks for the heads up. I think you should be my key to the city this summer. Holler at me!
