North of the Border
Damn, the last post seemed so Debbie.Downer.
And it wasnt meant to be, AT ALL.
In fact, I'm pretty sure this trip will be followed by NO Loser Week. I feel refreshed and content, actually. Had a great Jump Up weekend. Id share some pics but, well you know.
But here are 10 Things I Learned in T.Dot...
10. My outfit is usually predicated by whether or not I can comfortably conceal my flask.
9. Canadian hoods kinda resemble American suburbs.
8. I will spend my absolute last dime on a good meal and a pitcher of damn near anything.
7. Indian men are sexy.
6. The way to heal a pulled muscle is to (ole skool) dance it out.
5. ALWAYS look before you sit in a club/bar. DO NOT just sit in a booth without first inspecting every inch of it. *sigh*
4. Sometimes "closure" is best without the formal "closure" convo. (wait, I think I knew this one already)
3. The classic 'so homo' trappings of a buckle belt, tight tee and braided dreads are VERY arousingly heterosexual on a grown West Indian man.
2. A Jamaican flag hanging out of your back pocket makes a small azz appear larger and more appealing than normal.
1a. A solid hotel/car rental/airline hookup is essential. I'm sooo in the market.
1. I shoulda been born independently wealthy with an international travel trust fund. *double sigh*

But for the love of Mary Mother of God...can future commenters PLS not do the listing the # thing. Just be a lil more specific pls..cuz I HATE having to look back and see wtf you're talking about when you say, '#s 3, 9, and 7 had me wanting to punch you in the face!' lol

Hey So Wise,
I will overdraw my account for a good meal..Done it too many times...Actually did it last week before payday!
I have definitely broke a dudes bank for a good meal... I usually will spend my money on drink.
I'm the chick that buys round after rounds for peole BUT they have to drink what I order...I like getting ppl drunk.
Hey Wise
Glad the vaca was good. I guess there's nothing like good food, music, and drinks to put life in it's proper perspective.
I had a show earlier this year in one of those canadian "hoods", I kept telling people in reminded me of Essex (baltimore county). Never got a chance to check out T.dot though.
Speaking of Jamaican flags, I think I had a wise sighting @ the LB show....J flag shirt + applejack hat cocked to the side...was that you?.
CC...you're a mess! But if not go broke for food then for what?! :)
Blah...We def need to be out drinking. Im also the girl who buys many rounds. Almost got kicked out of an outdoor concert for smuggling drinks out of the bar out to the crew.lol
Ab says..."I think I had a wise sighting @ the LB show....J flag shirt + applejack hat cocked to the side...was that you?."

"10. My outfit is usually predicated by whether or not I can comfortably conceal my flask."
I hate to say this, but this sounds like it was uttered by a college student lol!!
Lmao @ your outift being predicated by whether or not you can conceal your flask!!! Drunky.
here here to number 7 ... and does number 2 work if youre not jamaican ... if so may have to try it out lol ... i need all the help i cant get!
Epsi...Ur a college senior and JUST NOW realizing that the most important things you retain from college are the lessons not learned in a lecture hall? lol
LA...There you go name calling again. I got one word for YOU "drunky"...*ABERCROMBIE*. ;)
AI...I have a feeling the flag thing is extremely culturally sensitive. But you can try it and report back.
If you cannot take your Significant other out to eat in ANY establishment without fear of incident, you are with the wrong person.
Dining out is one of the more wonderful ways to live life.
Holla @ ya boy on the Hotel thing. I might be able to help you.
I always have a hotel hookup. Been this way for the last 15 years and I can't ever turn back.
Travel and food are synonymous to me. I will break the bank for a good meal. The company as you share the food? Priceless
DP says..."Dining out is one of the more wonderful ways to live life."
